[Very good sandwich. Eponine's nearly done with hers, and has moved on to her fries, dipping them liberally in ketchup. She's got to make this meal last for as long as she possibly can. Who knew when she'd eat next.]
[She's eaten off of all of their plates, refusing to let them pay for her to eat something. She didn't care about the meetings at all. She was really just there to look at Marius. And somehow that had turned into things like this. Or things like drinking with Grantaire or giggling with Bossuet.]
[Besides, it was good to keep talking out in the real world. It was good to be overheard now and then by someone other than each other--if, perhaps, only questionably good to get into sharp arguments with people other than Grantaire. The dark-haired man seemed oddly willing to keep coming back in spite of himself.]
Don't mind if we do. [They get their orders of cookies in and a few takeaway boxes. Eponine starts piling in everything she can, including but not limited to sugar packets, napkins, and silverware, into the styrofoam. Her siblings know to do the same, and it's done casually.]
Hey- this meal- it's not gonna mess up your money situation, is it? Like- you've really got enough to do this? Or do you just really want to know if we kissed that bad.
[Did you get caught up in the good times? Or gathering information that will then later be sprung upon Eponine and used against her? Because she would not be surprised in the least.]
You did. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to say we kissed.
[In fairness to himself, even intoxicated he had most likely rambled at length about the importance of bodily integrity and consent between individuals. Fairness to himself after a night of being completely obliterated isn't really on tap.
Then again, she had said 'we kissed.' Not 'you kissed me.' That's... confusing.]
[It isn't, in the long run. It's a tiny snippet of nothing that the other party involved already doesn't care to think about, no more than a blip he'll forget about by this time next week.
And yet.] It's not something I-- do.
[Like drinking. Like drinking to excess. Like not remembering the entirety of the previous night.]

We come here fairly often.
[That's not pushy, surely.]

[You're giving her a great excuse to come lurk around. This is a bad decision.]

We go up and down the street, sometimes.

[She nods, shoving more fries into her mouth.] Can we take some of this home?
[She may as well, now that she's taking advantage of him, take full advantage of him.
Like father, like daughter.]
